STANDARD COURSES

Standard Courses Integrated Into Work-based Learning Themes

Coursework is focused on grade levels 9-12 and is integrated with the curriculum needed for a high school diploma, transition to a university or technical college and gainful employment. Under an alternative high school contract with the Minneapolis and Richfield Public Schools and with corporate and foundation funding, CTC provides high school diploma curriculum, computer technology training and pre-employment skills.

The following course outlines provide a framework for what must be taught within the work-based themes offered at CTC in order to fulfill Minnesota Graduation Standards requirements. Each instructor develops the scope and sequence required by individual classes to fulfill these requirements. English Immersion instructors are required to develop ESL vocabulary & activities that reinforce coursework. Satisfactory implementation of each course will be a part of the yearly instructor and executive director’s evaluation process.

The following courses are required as part of Minnesota State graduation requirements.
