Mission and Values

CTC's Organizational Mission is:

• to bring about self-sufficiency and economic independence to our immigrant, refugee, and language-minority students through training and relevant programs that prepare them for the workplace or higher education/technical training.

• to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged and underrepresented youth through the cooperation and collaboration of all members of the community. Our students leave CTC with the skills to join the working community, move on to higher education, and pursue life goals outside of the Minneapolis area.

• to expand and promote joint ventures among schools, agencies, colleges, training institutions and businesses with the result being increased educational and career opportunities for at-risk, immigrant and refugee youth.

• to provide English language proficiency of a quality that enables and encourages our students to continue their education, explore career options, utilize technology in their personal and professional lives, and acquire the skills to be self-sufficient in their community.
